Mehrdad Mosavi

He is a graduate of Visual Communication (Graphics) from the University of Arts, Tehran, with extensive experience in graphic design and artistic direction. Throughout his professional career, he has played a significant role in the arts and publishing industries, serving as the Artistic Director of Cheshmeh Publishing and working as a Graphic Designer at A4 Design House (2016–2018).

His expertise in artistic direction has led him to contribute to various festivals and cultural events, including serving as the Artistic Director of the 12th Nahal National Film Festival (2015), the First Masaar National Photography Festival (2017), the International “Blue Vision” Festival at the University of Tehran (2018 & 2021), and the “Farda” Industrial Film and Photo Festival (2019). Additionally, he has been a member of the editorial board of Kama International Quarterly since 2016.

His work has gained international recognition, with selections in prestigious competitions such as the Golden Bee International Poster Biennial in Moscow (2016 & 2020). Over the years, he has received several notable awards, including:

  • The “Tooba Zarrin” Statue for Best Poster at the 13th Fajr Visual Arts Festival (2020)
  • The “Badge of Shiraz” Statue for Best Graphic Book Design for Adults and Teenagers (2020)
  • The “Badge of Shiraz” Statue for Best Adult Graphic Book Design (2019)
  • The “Mohsen Rasulov” Poster Award from the Picture of the Year Celebration Exhibition (Special Section: My Tehran) (2020 & 2016)
  • Second Prize at the Shiraz City Visual Identity Event (2021)

His work has been featured in the 11th Fajr Graphic Design Commercial Arts Exhibition (2018), and he has held a solo exhibition of posters and covers titled “Black Typing Exercises” at Safavid House, Isfahan (2018).
